What a Claude Skill is
A prompt is something you copy every time. A skill you add to Claude once, and from then on Claude knows how to do that job the way this site teaches it. You do not need to call it by name. You just ask, for example "Prep me for my renewal call with Acme tomorrow", and Claude uses the skill when it fits.
Each skill is a short set of written instructions with no code, and you can read every word before you add it. The 49 skills are built from all 77 Prompt Vault prompts and The AI-Powered CSM method. Using ChatGPT, Copilot or Gemini instead? The same briefs are in the Prompt Vault.
How to add a skill
Works on every Claude plan, including free. First, turn on Code execution and file creation in Claude's settings. Then:
- Download a skill (a small .zip file).
- In Claude, open Customize, then Skills.
- Click +, then Upload a skill.
- Just ask. Claude uses it when it fits.
Start with the method
Add The AI-Powered CSM method first. It teaches Claude how you work: the junior analyst model, RCCO (Role, Context, Constraints, Output), safe placeholders and the three follow-ups. Then add the six most CSMs use every week: call prep brief, follow-up email, risk read, QBR builder, stakeholder map and internal escalation. Add the rest whenever you need them, or download all 49 in one go.
